Base Inserts for for 40K, Warmachine/Hordes, Malifaux, Dark Age, Wrath of Kings, and other round lipped skirmisher model bases.
These beautiful Bases carved from MDF are perfect to speed up your army construction, they are supplied unpainted and should be primed prior to painting.
We have three available themes for your choosing, Cobblestone floor, Crumpled Rock &Lava floor and a Sci Fi flooring.
Due to slight variations in recess size between companies, there may be a small gap between the edge of the insert and the lip of the base.
If you are not sure which sizes you need, pick up your base and measure the inside with a calliper, if you can’t find the size you need contact us and we will adapt the inserts for your needs.
You can paint them just like you paint your models with spray primer and normal acrylic paints. Be careful with excessive use of washes.
Superglue is our choice for attaching inserts to bases and models to the assembled bases.
For pewter or heavy models, it is best to pin them through the base insert to the plastic base underneath to ensure a strong permanent bond.
For pinning, use a hobby knife to remove a small circle of the insert and then drill the required Hole thus avoiding frayed edges.
The bases shown are not included. Only the textured inserts are included in this package.

Due to be laser cut process, the wood might have a sometimes strong burning smell that fades away in a matter of 1 to 2 days.
I normally leave it to air at the shop for 24h depending on the amount of work I have, but sometimes I pack without the 24h, so if you notice that the smell is too strong leave it in a open air space for 24h or until it fades.
